Job Purpose:
Key objectives: (1) Monitoring and anticipating changes in the operating environment (political, economic, regulatory, social and technological) that could impact the business; (2) Assessing and advising Management on the potential impact of these changes on the business; (3) Developing strategies and programs to pro-actively minimize potential risks associated with these changes; (4) Effectively and pro-actively implementing strategies and programs, such as engaging policy and decision makers and other relevant stakeholders on key issues identified (regulatory, tax, illicit trade and so forth); (5) Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders such as Government, Members of Parliament, NGOs, Local Communities, Media, Employees (with HR), and any other relevant stakeholders; and (7) Ensuring internal compliance and alignment to company’s policies and local regulations in terms of the Corporate Affairs & Communications Function.
