To reinforce our Supply Chain Department, we are looking for a Technical Procurement Specialist reporting directly to Supply Chain Manager.
The purpose of the role is to ensure safe, timely and efficient supply of locally sourced materials and components for factory and commercial office necessary for the smooth running of the company.
Receive approved purchase orders from relevant departments and research potential vendors
Together with finance, requesting department, compare and evaluate offers/ PI from suppliers and select the most appropriate supplier based on Quality, Safety, Cost and lead-time.
Work closely with Technical department for the purchase of spare parts, tools, and any other request generated by the department.
Place orders to approved supplier, track orders and ensure timely delivery
Review quality of supplied products against specifications before handing over to user department
Evaluate supplier performance and develop an approved vendor list for future repeat purchase
Together with finance develop terms and conditions / contracts for approved vendors
Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices
Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses
Support the import and export specialist with regards to liaison with Government offices, Custom offices and Banks
Comply strictly to Government procurement procedures and Ontex procurement procedures in all transactions
Observe the Ontex Compliance code and DOA
Job Requirement
Diploma or BA in procurement & supplies Management, Management, Business administration or any other related filed.
3 years of relevant experience.
Proficiency in spoken and written English.
Good experience of all Microsoft applications like word, Excel, outlook etc..
ERP-Sage /SAP software experience A
Ability to organize, plan and supervise assigned tasks
Working knowledge in any ERP system will be an added advantage
