ABOUT THE ROLE
GOAL Ethiopia is looking for a competent, motivated, experienced Assistant Logistics Officer for its Gambella programme officer with a dynamic, technically competent and motivated personality. The assistant logistics officer is expected to be proficient in the field of procurement, transport, and warehouse as well as communications management and ensure implementation of policies and reporting procedures in project offices according to GOAL logistics manual.
ABOUT YOU
You'll be an experienced with humanitarian works with flexible and creative approach, highly motivated and able to take the initiative and work unsupervised fosters working in teams & team work spirit, you will be responsible for ensuring that all GOAL logistics polices paper trail and procedures are properly and adequately understood and implemented across all logistics functions of humanitarian response programme, Gambella region. You will have a role of managing the logistics activities in HRP through proper planning, guidance, communication and liaison with the team.
Job Requirements
BA/Diploma in Purchasing and supplies Management or related field with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in logistics management in an international NGO for BA holder and a minimum of 5 years’ experience for Diploma holder.
Good Experience in managing complex logistics.
Key qualities, Skills and Competences: (list of qualities that are considered necessary for the specific post which are believed to be key to the success of the job holder in the specific post):
Familiar with donor guidelines; USAID/OFDA, ECHO, EHAF, etc.
Good computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Willing to travel to remote areas and to camp in the field, ability to work flexibly including weekends and willingness to travel and work in rural locations and live in basic conditions.
Understanding of the HRP nature and willing to travel and live in field site, with frequent transfer from site to site.
Good team player, flexible and capable of working with an international country team.
Outgoing personality with excellent communication and training skills.
Desirable qualities, Skills and Competences: (list of qualities that are considered desirable for the specific post):
Ability and experience in change management, including implementing new systems and bringing new and existing staff ‘on board’;
Experience of managing security issues in insecure/hostile environments:
Ability and experience in transport management, including maintenance, repair and training.
Able to speak local language.
Background from/familiarity to locality.

Remuneration & Benefits:
Salary: Birr 7,716.00 per month
Pension: (11% from employer and 7% from employee)
Transportation Allowance: 10% of monthly salary
Hardship Allowance: 50% of monthly salary.
Medical Allowance: Birr 6500/annum (will be added in your monthly salary)
