Beza posterity development organization (BPDO) is an indigenous, non-profit making, non-governmental humanitarian organization working on sexual reproductive health, HIV AIDS and STIs prevention, care and support, improving the socio economic wellbeing of women and girls, Prevention of unsafe migration & youth leadership and employment. BPDO head office is located at Kombolcha town, Amhara region & has liaison office in Addis Ababa. Currently, BPDO is implementing a wide range of projects in Amhara, Addis Ababa, Afar and Tigray regional states in partnership with various International organizations.
BPDO has entered project agreement with Freedom Fund to implement prevention of unsafe migration & promotion of safe migration in Nifas Silk Lafo Sub city of Addis Ababa with the overarching goal of contribute towards the reduction of unsafe migration of women and girls who migrate to Middle East for domestic work.
Job purpose
Under the supervision of project coordinator the social worker has responsible for leading the overall project implementation at woreda level in close collaboration with pertinent stakeholders. The social worker will cascade peer education training for selected school girls to improve the understanding of school girls towards migration as well as s/he will be responsible to enhance community awareness through various social mobilization strategies. Furthermore, s/he will support TVET graduates to engage in profitable business by facilitating work place, loan & other technical supports from relevant stakeholders. More importantly, s/he is working closely with relevant stakeholders to strengthen the sector who have role in the prevention of human trafficking.
