Universal Courier Services PLC (Deliver Addis) is our partner company that is engaged in technology-enabled, online food delivery in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, launched in October 2015 and expanding into the burgeoning logistics and e-commerce industries in Ethiopia. They require Service and Operation Manager with the relevant experience and expertise.
Service & Operations Manager
This position is responsible for managing all day-to-day activities of operations and providing information regarding trends in daily operations that will guide strategic planning. The ideal candidate will have experience managing shipments to ensure that all shipments are completed within the target time window. The ideal candidate will also have experience hiring and managing drivers, dispatchers, and vehicles to ensure that company equipment is handled responsibly.
Additional responsibilities and duties
Maintaining performance targets set by the company and ensuring that customers are satisfied with their service
Tracking all shipment requests and ensuring that they are being fulfilled
Ensuring that all shifts for both drivers and dispatchers are staffed and scheduled appropriately
Ensure that all payments for shipments are received from drivers and properly accounted for
Training and onboarding new drivers and dispatchers
Managing the performance of drivers and dispatchers on a regular basis
Be available by phone in the event of any emergencies or priorities during rest days
Be responsible for ensuring all vehicles and equipment are appropriately registered and
accounted for.
