The Jobs Creation Commission of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia was established by the Office of the Prime Minister to advance the Ethiopian government’s vision around employment and job creation. The commission is uniquely positioned to lead, govern and coordinate the jobs creation agenda at the national and subnational levels. It is committed to guiding the investment of government, the private sector and development partners to high-growth sectors through policy analysis and innovation; and the education training sector to align skills development with market needs
The Executive Secretary will have the responsibility to support the Executive. The Executive Secretary will undertake the role of organizing and maintaining the executive’s schedule and assist them by performing a variety of administrative tasks.
The Executive Secretary reports directly to the Executive and will be tasked with the following responsibilities:
Manage the calendar of the Executive as may be required;
Receive and screen phone calls, emails and personal visits and redirect them when necessary;
Handle and prioritize all outgoing and incoming correspondence by assuring confidentiality with discretion and utmost care;
Manage external and internal communications directed to and out of the commissioner’s office and executive staff as may be required;
Maintain electronic and paper records of meetings and official communications and avail it to others as may be required;
Timely and accurately pass from and to the executive maintaining confidentiality
Monitor office supplies;
Keep the Commissioner’s office neat and organized
Assist in the planning and execution of special events
Reserve conference rooms and equipment for in-office meetings and presentations.
Run miscellaneous errands for the Office as may be required by the executive
