Further programmes enhance the development of a sustainable textile sector and renewable energies.
GIZ-SURED (Sustainable Use of Rehabilitated Land for Economic Development 2018–2020) will be focusing on the economic development and sustainable utilization of rehabilitated areas. Against this background, GIZ Ethiopia is looking to recruit a Finance Officer for GIZ-SURED- Project as specified:
Position: Administrative Assistant

Duration: 1 year (maternity replacement)
Responsibilities:
Initiate, coordinate and follow up on administrative & procurement processes
General Tasks
o Provide administrative, logistics, procurement and secretarial services to the ISFM+ project
o Follow up on adequate and timely supply of material, equipment and supplies taking into account low costs, time of delivery and improvement of the service to different users, following GIZ rules and regulations
o Follow up and provides updates on the status of imported goods
o Maintain an updated database for the project’s inventory (fixed assets) and supplies and assumes responsibility for the project store
o Receive requests for services from internal and external clients, promptly prepares the required paperwork and ensures timely delivery
o Ensure that offices and facilities are maintained well and liaises with support units
o Facilitate the preparation of Local Subsidy Contracts and follow up on partner financial and technical reporting
o Coordinate and follow up on project procurement processes and other administrative issues
o Organize workshops / meetings and arrange logistics for project events
o Prepare workshop reports, training and promotional material and meeting minutes
o Perform other assignments as needed
Competences:
• Excellent communication skills to handle stakeholders with different interest
• Strong result orientation
• Good analytical skills;
• Strong problem-solving skills;
• Good English language skills, both written and oral;
• Excellent computer skills esp. Microsoft Office;
Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field
• Proven skills in project support and coordination
• Minimum of 3-5 years of work experience
