Receive, become familiar with, coordinate, maintain and distribute all contract documents and related Company log/reports.
Review all changes and initiate a Notification of Proposed Change, as necessary.
Maintain both a working set and a record set of drawings and another contract documents, including addenda, field orders, Architect’s supplemental information and change orders. Ensure that the field set of documents are kept current
Maintain a Request for Information log.
Assist in preparing and reviewing subcontracts, purchase contracts, short form subcontracts and purchase orders for scope. Assist Project Manager in reviewing executed versions of these agreements.
Receive, review, process, track and distribute shop drawing submittals and field installation Drawings.
Create and maintain Submittal Log and schedule.
Review with Project Superintendent all shop drawings and field installation drawings for compliance with contract plans and specifications.
Advise Project Manager of any conflicts with installation of other trades.
Monitor and expedite materials delivery, particularly long lead-time items, through the Submittal Log.
Review all returned shop drawings and field use drawings for items work added by the Architect or the Engineer.
Verify these changes have been documented in the field.
Prepare appropriate Notification of Proposed Change as necessary.
Initiate, assist in review and submit to Project Manager a Notification of Proposed Change on any change to contract documents or shop drawings and submit proposal to the Architect and Owner for incorporation into the Change Order.
Prepare all the quantity take-offs for self-performed portions of the change work
Prepare and maintain the Notification of Proposed Change Log.
Solicit, schedule, receive, analyze, all subcontract quotations for changes.
Assist Project Manager and Superintendent in settling all Notification Proposed Change proposals with Architect/Engineer and Owner.
If Change Order is to be prepared by TLG, prepare rough draft of Change Order
Upon receipt of change order, review for Project Manager’s sign-off.
Prepare rough drafts of all subcontractor and supplier contract amendments and Estimate Transfer Form.
Assist in buyout of materials or subcontractors not covered by base contract, or resulting from changes to the scope of work.
Insure that all shop and field installation drawings are revised and submitted for approval.
Assist the Project Manager in preparing the monthly billing to the Architect/Owner for the project.
Assist Project Manager in receiving and verifying subcontractor and supplier monthly billings.
Assist the Project Manager to prepare, review and approve the initial schedule of values for the Owner and Architect.
Maintain logs for unit price, man-hours and material contracts or change orders.
Assist Project Manager in preparing the MPR.
Review job costs to date and assist in cost projections for remaining duration of the project.
Update and include Submittal Log, Request for Information Log and Notification of Proposed Change Log. Include Close-out Log as project near completion.
Provide analysis and projections included in approved Change Orders and approved Proposals that have not been incorporated into the contract.
Execute necessary project correspondence and other correspondence assigned by Project Manager or Superintendent.
Coordinate and follow-up incoming correspondence
Assist Project Manager and Superintendent in scoping out work and purchasing work from subcontractors.
Monitor job costs and provide cost projections for duration of project.
Prepare a project start-up checklist, complete assigned items and assist Project Manager in project buyout.
Prepare subcontracts, rental equipment orders, etc.
Receive, verified and provide accurate and timely quantities for labor unit cost report.
Prepare initial working estimates from estimating’s estimate.
Review for approval with Project Manager and forward to Accounting for input.
Participate in developing the overall project schedule on weekly basis.
Monitor and updates overall project schedule on weekly basis.
Keep Project Manager, Project Superintendent, subcontractors, and suppliers aware of the schedule and any changes of it.
Maintain a critical material and equipment delivery status log; monitor status weekly.
Assist in expediting scheduling.
Check routinely with Project Superintendent regarding current and immediate future activities and related material needs.
On job-site visits, note job progress to date versus as-schedule progress.
Immediately after project award, develop a checklist of quality control items.
Schedule and follow-up all pre-construction testing, engineering, mockups, samples, certifications and related meetings.
Review project specifications one week prior to the start of any new work activity.
Help create a positive team-wide attitude toward quality and good housekeeping.
Communicate with the testing agency (even if services are owner-furnished).
Establish guidelines and procedures for testing.
Monitor on-site and factory inspections and compare submitted samples against the actual work in place to verified required standards.
Verify completion of all related quality control items prior to commencement of subcontractor or vendor work.
Compare approved shop drawings against the actual work.
Check that shop drawings and material safety data sheets (MSDS) fully comply with project documents.
Highlight any deviations.
Identify conditions requiring field measurement prior to fabrication, and promptly arrange for same.
Conduct routine job-site visits to assess the quality of the work.
Follow prepared agenda and prepare written report noting deficiencies and recommendations for improvement.
Note any unique work practices that improve quality.
As an activity nears completion, assist the Project Superintendent to prepare and verify completion of a punch list.
In preparation for close-out assist the Project Manager Team to prepare a “To Complete” list as the project nears substantial completion.
Participate in the substantial completion effort including Architect’s punch list and punch list log, as directed.
Follow-up with subcontractors on a weekly basis to have all close-out information submitted in a timely fashion.
Assemble and submit Operation & Maintenance Manuals as required by the Architect/Owner.
Prepare as-built drawings of all approved deviations from contract documents and shop documents.
Review the checklist of required tests, certificates, warranties, bonds, lien waivers and as-built drawings to verify compliance with project requirements.
Recommend to Project Manager the release of payments to subcontractors/vendors based on performance.
Assist the Corporate and project safety officers to maintain a safe workplace.
Become familiar with applicable OSHA and TLG safety regulations.
Update job-site Hazardous Communications Manuals and MSDS files.
Evaluate and insure adequate safety factors in the design and erection of these systems like Temporary structures, scaffolding and staging, Trenching and excavation, Other temporary facilities/equipment, Identify unsafe or non-complying conditions and notify the Corporate or project safety officer, Advise Project Superintendent and subcontractors of deficiencies in their safety programs, Participate in and document accident investigations.
Prepare routine project reports and attend and document weekly progress and other project meetings.
Prepare and maintain Shop drawing status report, Notification of Proposed Change log, Materials delivery report
All weekly and monthly construction status report (for Project Manager approval)
Agendas for the weekly subcontractor and vendor progress/coordination meetings, under the supervision of the project manager and project superintendent
Attend as required, and prepare minutes of owner/Architect/Engineer/Contractor meetings.
Schedule and chair meetings with subcontractors and vendors to coordinate activities
Receive all applicable MSDS documents from subcontractors.
Assist the Project Manager and project Superintendent to prepare the cost-to complete report.
Handle all architect field inspection reports.
Provide Project Manager with monthly monitor reports, as required.
Assistance to Others and training
Assist Project Manager or Project Superintendent to maintain a positive working relationship with Owner/Architect/Engineer and subcontractors/vendors.
Assist the Project Manager in training new employees.
Assist the Project Team in implementing all the Values, policies, and in planning events over the Values.
Periodically and actively participate in the GENET Training and Professional Development Events as courses and seminar activities. This participation will be one criterion within the annual evaluation of employee performance. In some cases, Project Engineers/Office Engineers may be asked to be a resource in the development and delivery of these courses and seminars.
Shall maintain current professional license to meet Industry and governmental regulations.

BSC degree in Civil Engineering having 8 years road work experience of which 4 years as an office engineer in road projects
