WaterAid (AE) is the only WASH-focused INGO in Ethiopia. We have a strong reputation for our technical experience in rural WASH service delivery and working with local government. We are known for using evidence to inform policy development, playing a critical role during the development of the WASH Implementation Framework and the OWNP, the Integrated Urban Sanitation and Hygiene Strategy, the Hygiene and Environmental Health Strategy, and the National School WASH Strategy.
WAE is implementing a project that targets in Improving Knowledge Management of the Ethiopian Ministry of Water, Irrigation and Energy (MoWIE) at national and subnational levels and with Oromia Water & Energy Resource Development Bureau (OWERDB) at the regional/sub-national level to address system gaps, capacities and institutional protocols and improving existing ICT infrastructure.
The project specifically focuses on the WASH sector, though the system will benefit other sectors within different Ministries and Bureaus (e.g. Energy, Irrigation, etc.) and cross-cutting administrative fields (e.g. HR, planning, change management, ICT, etc.).
WAE is looking for ICT experts that will be tasked with:
Technically support, provide advice to and technical oversight of ICT4Development’s work on the second-Tier subcontract deliverables below:
Review quality of outputs and deliverables of ICT4Development, and in the event of any issues arising, provide proactive advice for quality improvement;
Design and provide direct support to a detailed support plan that breakdowns support and coaching priorities for MOWIE and OWERDB;
Identify critical support areas for direct technical input and support to ICT4Development (on any gaps and issues during project implementation);
Provide weekly status reports to WaterAid Ethiopia and proactively raise any significant issues with WaterAid Ethiopia as they arise.
