Introduction
The Brooke is a leading UK equine welfare charity which has been working in Ethiopia since 2006 with a country office in Addis Ababa. The Brooke aims to improve the welfare of working equines, together with the livelihoods of people dependant on these animals. Brooke Ethiopia (B-Eth) is entering a new Strategic phase and by the year 2020, the Brooke Ethiopia will sustainably improve the equine welfare of some of the neediest rural and urban equines in Ethiopia.
ROLE PURPOSE:
- The main purpose of this role is to bring together programme learning, innovations, research-based evidence and information for improvement in the development and implementation of Brooke Ethiopia programs in different woredas.
- S/he will closely liaise with all Brooke staffs at woredas to ensure timely data collection, management and use of data for decision making and learning within Brooke Ethiopia.
- Promote the work of the Brooke Ethiopia work within fresh graduates’ community and create advocates for Animal welfare after they have completed their Internships.
- Provide Interns with the opportunity to participate in areas of Brooke Ethiopia animal welfare activities in order to gain work experience.
- Promote a wider and better public understanding of the challenges confronting Animal welfare issues in Ethiopia, including an insight for Interns into how the Brooke Ethiopia works to overcome these challenges.
- Create a network of advocates of Brooke Ethiopia – animal welfare program
- Attract and develop a future talent pool
Requirement for Civil Engineer Intern
- BSc Degree in Civil Engineering and other relevant field of studies

Requirement for Veterinary Medicine Intern
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), and and other relevant field of studies
