We are looking for highly organized candidates with extensive entertainment experience who know how to bring to life a creative vision. Executive Producers are responsible for recruiting and interviewing the appropriate staff, managing the daily affairs of cast and crew and cultivating a working environment that meets the needs of a long-term, collaborative project, among other duties. Executive Producer is to oversee the work of the producer on behalf of the studio and ensure the program is completed on time, within budget, and to agreed artistic and technical standards.Executive Producers are the chief orchestrators of film, television, music, broadcast journalism and radio programming. Their primary duties include securing funds for production, hiring staff and outlining a long-term working schedule. Executive Producers will be skilled negotiators and should possess strong business and marketing skills to manage a production's commercial elements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
ü Supervise Producers and Writers, making sure newscasts are filled with valuable content that is clear and easy to understand.
ü Copy edit newscasts to make sure scripts are accurate and do not contain spelling or grammatical errors.
ü Maximize of graphics and pre-production to make the newscast clear and easy to understand.
ü Ensure newscasts regularly showcase and execute process language.
ü Read through newscasts and approve scripts, making sure the value of stories is delivered in the first ten seconds.
ü Look for opportunities for digital team to send push alerts pushing back to our air.
· Oversee newscasts, making sure they meet research goals.
· Ensure producers execute tease and “meter click-point” strategies.
· Consistently integrate references/pushes to our digital and social media products.
· Regularly monitor tweet deck to be hunting for the newest and best content.
· Attend editorial meetings and regularly contribute story ideas.
· Coordinate Producer and Writer schedules, approving hours worked.
· Conduct reviews of Producers and Writers in collaboration with the News Director.
· Work with other news managers on special coverage plans and be a leader in wall-to-wall breaking news coverage.
