The Physiotherapist will provide home-based outreach physiotherapy service for persons with disabilities, injuries & chronic illness in Nguenyyiel refugee camp. S/he will be based in Gambella with daily professional travels to the Nguenyyiel refugee camps.
The main stakes of the post are:
· Make detail assessment of patients with regards their rehabilitation needs using HI’s Rehabilitation assessment form.
· Based on assessment, identify problems and make treatment plan with the beneficiary.
· Provide home based physiotherapy treatments for beneficiaries by doing community outreach.
· Ensure good communication, with help of translators, with beneficiary at all times throughout assessment, setting of goals and explanation of treatment.
· Ensure that Physiotherapy equipment is kept safely and if repairs are needed, facilitates the maintenance thereof and compile information
· Prescribe, provide and train on the use of assistive and/or mobility devices to beneficiaries.
· Keeping beneficiary database and activity documentation according to project requirements
· Preparing weekly activity reports using HI’s reporting templates
· Collaborating and coordinating with senior physiotherapist to meet project target
· Other duties as assigned by line manager
· Reporting as required by project indicators and participate in project evaluation
· Have a degree in physiotherapy
. Preferably have at least 6 months of physiotherapy practice. Fresh graduates can also apply
