I. JOB SUMMARY:
The purpose of the Project Officer Position is to lead and support Woreda level Act With Her (AWH) project implementation, to collect, compile and document implementation progress, lessons and other experiences. The Project Officer monitors data/information quality of implementing partners including CARE. She/he also is responsible for assisting the project manager in project planning, monitoring, and reporting.
II. RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
Job Responsibility #1. Ensure data quality (30%)
§ Developing/revising data quality tracking mechanisms in consultation with partners
§ Make field visits in project operational areas to help improve data collection and reporting systems
§ Verify data quality of the project and report against their plan
§ Participates in the formulation/ revision of annual plans;
Job Responsibility #2: Reporting (30%)
§ Ensure or enter the project data at woreda level in project DHIS2 system, analyses the reported results and prepares periodic tabular reports and draft narrative reports;
§ Tracks data quality comparing against the project plan
§ Ensure consistency of information in different reports
§ Establishes and maintains documentation system for all program activities including, minutes of Woreda Advisory committee and other technical meetings;
§ Records statistics on beneficiary population, partners, geographic distribution,;
§ Regularly update the records.
Job Responsibility #3: Learning and documentation (30%)
§ Work with the Knowledge Management advisor and other staff of the project to document project learning,
§ Work with project technical staff in organizing workshops
§ Prepare workshop schedules, take notes and prepare minutes/ proceedings and reports.
§ Edit different documents
Job Responsibility #4: Others (10%)
§ Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements

A) EDUCATION
Require,
Diploma in Public Health Nursing, Nursing, Economics, Business management, Sociology, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Desirable
§ BA/BSc Degree in Public Health, Nursing, Economics, Business management, Sociology, Psychology, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
B) EXPERIENCE
§ 0-2 years of work experience in program development and coordination and also program monitoring and evaluation.
C) TECHNICAL SKILLS
· Computer Skills
· Speaking , reading and writing the Local Language (AFAR)
· Know the local culture and norms
D) Mandatory
Willing to base in project implementation woredas
