The Society of Human Resource Management in Ethiopia (SHRME) is a professional human resources association established in 2007 by human resource management professionals to promote the role of human resources as a profession and to build the capacity of human resource professionals.
Society of Human Resource Management in Ethiopia (SHRME) is legally registered as an Ethiopian association under Charities and Societies Agency with certificate number 1616. SHRME currently has over 500 professional, 2 strategic partners and 50 institutional members. In order to realizes its objectives, SHRME is going to achieve the following major activities within the next three years.
SHRME’s objective is to serve the Human Resource professionals and Advance the HR Profession in Ethiopia by providing comprehensive information and tools to human resource professionals to enable them to make informed decisions. Facilitate the exchange of ideas and increase the knowledge of members through HR networking and forums.
SHRME is also dedicated to enable & help human resource professionals become leaders within their organizations and in the general business community. We believe that human resource management is a critical component to the success of every business. Consequently, our association seeks out opportunities that will enable our members to develop professional relationships with other business leaders. By working with others, we hope to contribute to the success of our respective society and the nation at large.
The Society of Human Resource Management in Ethiopia (SHRME) is planning to organize its 7th annual job fair to be held in late December 2019 or early January 2020. The job fair, which will bring together employers, experienced professionals, and entry-level talented individuals, is scheduled to take place at the Addis Ababa Exhibition Centre, Millennium Hall, or UN ECA compound.
The job fair is one of the most remarkable events that brings organizations from various sectors together including governmental, non-governmental, private, international and bilateral organizations under one roof with highly competitive and professional job seekers; thereby acting as the platform for open and wide-ranging employment opportunities.
SHRME seeks to engage experienced event planner who is capable of managing its 7th annual job fair through revenue sharing arrangement that includes coordination of event logistics, event planning and attaining budget goals. The selected event planner is expected to negotiate and enter a contract with SHRME at least 1 weeks before the event date.
Term of Contract:
SHRME intends to enter into a contract with the event planner for an initial scope of work to begin late October through December 2019.
Scope of Services:
The following provides a general overview of the scope of services SHRME will expect the event planner to complete, however, are not considered an exhaustive list of required tasks for successful Job fair management required to achieve the best outcomes.
Proposal Terms: Terms of the proposal, including price, will remain firm for a minimum of 90 days following the deadline for submitting proposals
REJECTION OF BID PROPOSAL:
SHRME reserves the right to reject any or all bid proposals, in whole and in part, received in response to this RFP. Issuance of this RFP in no way constitutes a commitment by SHRME to award a contract.
Reference Checks & Other Sources: SHRME reserves the right to contact any reference to assist in the evaluation of the bid proposal, to verify information contained in the bid proposal, and to discuss consultant’s qualifications. SHRME reserves the right to obtain and consider information from other sources concerning a consultant, such as capability and performance under other contracts.
