The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the overall operations, processes, productions, reports, safety and security of the Warehouse and staff. The Warehouse Manager reports directly to the GM of the company.
Receives inbound merchandize and makes sure that they are safely and securely processed.
Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
Maintains close and regular communications with the GM, the Documentation staff, ECX purchasing staff, etc.
Works diligently in making sure that orders are shipped in a timely manner.
Keeps accurate record of inbound and outbound goods, as well as keep record of damaged/rejected and returned goods.
Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees, closely working with the GM and HR Department.
Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Maintains highest standard of safety of the staff working in and around the warehouse.
Is responsible for the safety of the merchandize (sesame, coffee, soya been, machinery, etc.) from various bad actors such as fire, water, etc., that have the potential to damage the goods.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Oversees and performs any other similar activities, locally or abroad, as requested by the GM.
Job Requirement
Above 5 years proven work experience as a warehouse manager and experiance with pulses oil seeds cleaning is highly regarded
Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases
Leadership skills and ability manage staff
Strong decision making and problem solving skills
Excellent communication and email writing skills
BS degree in logistics, supply chain management or business administration and related feilds
