Under the direct line management of the Field coordinator, and the child protection technical unit and the CWI/ CP manager the child protection Officer will be responsible for the implementation, follow-up and monitoring of the child protection (CP) prevention and response program in a professional manner. She /he will demonstrate technical capability to support the CP staff (volunteers/ community facilitators) to ensure program implementation is upholding standards, procedures and principles of child protection in Gedeo IDP sites. She /he will coordinate the program interventions and services to address the needs of displaced children.
Ø University Degree in Social Science, Social Work, health or psychology/Sociology with 2 years of meaningful experience for postgraduate, 3 years of meaningful experience for BA degree,
Ø NGO experience is a plus,
Ø Experience in working with harmed and/or at-risk children in an NGO setting is helpful
Ø Supervisory/basic managerial skills.
Ø Technical and report writing skills
Ø Computer literate.
Ø Fluent spoken and written Amharic and English
Ø Good communication and interpersonal skills.
