Background
The Institute for Peace and Security Studies (IPSS) is an Institution of higher education with the mission to promote peace and security in Ethiopia and Africa through education, research, and professional development. The Institute trains skilled professionals in conflict prevention, management and resolution as well as in peacebuilding, and promotes the values of a democratic and peaceful society.
IPSS is seeking a highly organized and motivated individual to participate in an internship programme in the Institute’s Africa Peace and Security programme Director’s office.

Responsibilities
Under the guidance and supervision of the Programme Management Head and the Programme Coordinator APSP- Institutional Development and Tana Forum Governance, the Intern will undertake the below tasks:
General Office Duties:
Tana Forum:
· Support the organization of the Tana Board and Technical Committee meetings; assisting in the preparation of agenda and other meeting documentation.
· Assist in the preparation of Tana Forum invitations; scanning and photocopying relevant documents and maintaining a record of documentation.
· Support Tana Forum logistical arrangements; assisting in communication, document preparation and other follow-up tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
· A Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or any other related studies.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
· Knowledge of Microsoft office package
· Highly organized, self-motivated, adaptable and flexible.
