The post holder supports the overall process of the recruitment of Short Term Experts (STE) through active sourcing recruitment in data bases and through online research
Contributing to the overall recruiting activities in the acquisition phase of projects in the region Africa
Developing and strengthening the pool of STE in the internal database
The position is part of the corporate HR function
Tasks:
Provide an effective cooperation to the Project Teams, Acquisition teams and the backstopping function within the department.
Data entry and maintenance of the HR database for all potential candidates and existing short-term experts assigned to InS projects by department
Building of expert’s networks in order to find the right person for the right position in different sectors where GIZ is active;
Strengthening cooperation and exchange with GIZ country offices and ongoing internal programmes
Development of a strategic database management in coordination with the HQ HR team.
Development of the reporting for HR activities through the data base

Job Requirement
Qualification:
University degree in a relevant sector.
Experience:
At least 2 years of professional experience in development cooperation, preferably in recruiting and/or the implementation of donor funded projects;
Experience in HR relevant tasks, e.g. recruitment, is considered a clear asset.
Skills / Competencies:
Excellent English and French language skills are required; German language skills would be an asset.
IT affinity, experience in handling databases and IT driven processes
Strong communication skills and proactive working approach, hands-on mentality
Team and service oriented personality with a strong interest in different sectors of development cooperation
