Finance Head

Finance Head Job Duties:

• Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as cash flow, payroll, invoicing, accounts receivable and other transactions
• Assist in the preparation of annual plan and budget for each strategic business unit
• Prepare the finance department’s annual plan and budget
• Oversee financial department employees, including strategic business units (SBU)finance heads, financial assistants and accountants
• Monitors and evaluates utilization of each SBU’s budget against the plan
• Responsible for the closing of the company’s book of account, audit by an external auditor and timely submission of audit report to the relevant government body
• Track the company's financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement
• Forecast financial trends based on data analysis
• Implement internal audit program
• Seek out methods for minimizing financial risk to the company
• Research and analyze financial reports and market trends
• Provide insightful information and expectations to senior executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision making
• Review financial data and prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
• Present financial reports to board members, stakeholders, executives, and clients in formal meetings
• Recruits, trains, mentors and evaluates key finance personnel
• Stay up to date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes
• Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company
• Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation
• Is a key point of contact for other departments on financial and accounting matters
• Perform any other related tasks assigned by the CEO

Skills and Qualifications:

Advanced or first degree in accounting, business, economics, finance, or a related field; several years of experience in a finance role; superior mathematical skills; leadership skills and experience; employee management; understanding of data privacy standards; solid communication skills, both written and verbal; public speaking skills; deep understanding of business principles and practices; superior attention to detail; organizational skills; planning skills; research skills; analytical skills; critical thinking skills; problem-solving skills; computer skills; multi-tasking abilities; integrity, honesty.
