AGRICONSULTING EUROPE SA (AESA) WILL RECRUIT FOUR SHORT TERM EXPERTS: (I) MONITORING AND EVALUATION, (II) VETERINARY EPIDEMIOLOGY AND SURVEILLANCE, (III) ANIMAL DISEASE PREVENTION AND CONTROL AND (IV) INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY TO WORK WITH THE EU-FUNDED HEARD PROJECT.
AESA is a renowned international consultancy company based in Brussels and which provides a wide range of services in the Agriculture and Rural Development Sector. The company was awarded the contract to provide a technical assistance team (TAT) to support implementation of the EU-funded €15 million 4-year project ‘Health of Ethiopian Animal for Rural Development’ (HEARD). The TAT started work in August 2020 and is responsible for supporting the Project Coordination Unit in monitoring and coordination of project activities and providing advice and assistance. The project is implemented by 5 grantees: International Livestock Research Institute with the Ethiopian Veterinary Association; the Livestock Bureau of Amhara, Oromia and Somali NRS; and the State Ministry for Livestock Resources (SMLR). AESA is the lead for the implementing consortium which includes three additional organizations namely VSF Suisse, VSF Belgium and the State Food and Veterinary Services of the Republic of Lithuania for this EU-HEARD technical assistance contract.
Major activities:
The experts will be short term and work full time.
The duty station will be Addis Ababa with visits to Amhara, Oromia and Somali NRS as required/possible. The fee rates will be negotiable
