The Ethiopian Social Accountability Program (ESAP) seeks to improve basic public service delivery by local governments in response to the needs and priorities of citizens.
ESAP’s third phase is financed by five development partners: the European Union, the Irish Embassy, the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) of the UK, the Embassy of Sweden, and the Austria Development Agency. Funding is provided through a multi-donor trust fund (MDTF) managed by the World Bank. VNG International of The Netherlands is contracted by the World Bank as management agency (MA) to award, administer and monitor grants to social accountability implementing partners (SAIPs) and to develop these partners’ capacity.
This expression of interest invites organizations listed to express their interest in competing for a grant under ESAP’s program
Instructions
Interested applicants are required to submit this Expression of Interest (EOI) in order to be assessed by the MA on their potential eligibility to compete for a grant. All EOIs will be reviewed. If your organization meets the basic eligibility criteria to compete under a forthcoming RFP, you will be notified and receive the RFP package inviting your organization to submit a full proposal. All qualifying applicants will receive the RFP package at the same time. Neither the consideration by the MA of your EOI, nor the invitation by the MA to your organization to submit a proposal in response to the RFP should be construed as a guarantee that your project will be granted funding.
