Job description:
1. Prepare and plan daily and weekly construction works at the site.
2. Timely request construction materials that are needed for the site.
3. Deploy skilled and unskilled labor timely for construction works.
4. In collaboration with team, involve in procurement and monitor the quantity and quality of construction materials before it reaches to site
5. Encourage the participation of the beneficiary community in all construction activities in close cooperation with local kebele representatives and the kebele Development Agent
6. Under the guidance of the Irrigation Engineer, supervise the day-to-day construction of the irrigation structures both at the headwork and infrastructures at the site
7. Daily report and communicate with the Irrigation Engineer on any issue that hinders the work progress at the site.
8. Daily control and register the volume of work performed; Control the performance of the labor force (CFW)
9. Prepare daily and weekly reports of the work progress, including the number of persons at work, the amount of the work done by each person and quality of work.
In addition, the construction foreman shall:-
10. Maintain smooth working relation with the staff at the site as well as the local government
11. Follow all LWF World Service Ethiopia Staff Rules, Collective Agreement and other Operational Manuals.
12. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Project Team Leader and Irrigation Engineer.
