Organizational Overview: The Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) is currently operating in Ethiopia carrying out a wide range of programs to support the Ministry of Health of Ethiopia in improving the health status of the country by ensuring access and quality of health services. We are committed to increasing our effectiveness through an innovative programming approach that optimizes quality, impact and scale. Being the largest CHAI field office worldwide, we currently employ over 150 staff working in the following programs: The Human Resources for Health, Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (MNH), HIV/AIDS, Cancer, Lab Services, Vaccines program, Global Health Financing, Woreda Transformation and Child Survival Programs.
JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision and guidance of the Senior Vaccine Program Manager, the technical advisor will provide both management and technical support to the Addis Ababa RHB on Covid-19 vaccine introduction. The technical advisor will plan, implement and monitor the implementation of Covid-19 vaccination. The technical advisor will identify bottlenecks that hindered quality Covid-19 vaccine introduction and produce mitigation plan. The advisor will also develop key messages and materials for public communications The senior technical advisor will submit reports in a timely and at the set standard to the Ministry of Health and RHB.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Demand plan (includes advocacy, communications, social mobilization, risk and safety communications, community engagement, and training) to generate confidence, acceptance and demand for COVID-19 vaccines designed. Crisis communications preparedness planning included.
· Key messages and materials for public communications and advocacy, in alignment with demand plan, developed.
· Communication and Social Mobilization plan along with Crisis Communication plan for Addis Ababa and for regional health Bureau prepared.
· Readiness and preparatory activities related to communication and social mobilization monitored.
· Support provided to development of key messages and IEC materials
· Logistics sub-committee developed with timelines of activities and rollout started
· Facilitate covid-19vaccine utilization related advocacy meetings, community dialogue and mobilization demand creation
· Perform other covid-19 C4D related work activities as required
