The National Election Board of Ethiopia (NEBE), re-established by proclamation No. 1133/2019, is the constitutionally mandated body to conduct elections, organize referendum and regulate political parties in Ethiopia. NEBE is undergoing institutional reform to enhance its credibility and capacity and conduct free, impartial, and credible elections. Through the support of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), NEBE has contracted ABH Partners to provide human resource recruitment and management services.
Accordingly, ABH partners would like to invite applicants who meet the below requirements to apply for the position of ICT Support Technician.
Required number: 22 (Twenty-two)
Reports to: ICT Team Leader
Duty station: Regional Capitals
Duration: 5 months with a possibility of extension
Salary: ETB 15,000 per month
Expected Start Date: Immediately after concluding the contract
Purpose of the Role
Answer incoming calls from field workers who may have software related questions, respond to inquiries, manage complaints, troubleshoot customer problems, and provide general information.
Major Responsibilities
· Take customer calls and provide accurate, satisfactory answers to their queries and concerns
· Call clients and customers to inform them about the organization’s policies and operational procedure changes/updates
· Guide callers through troubleshooting, navigating the organization’s software and hardware systems
· Collaborate with other call center professionals to improve customer service
· Help to train new employees and inform them about the company's customer management policies.
· Bachelor’s Degree or technical training in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information system, Management information system or related field.
· 1 year of relevant experience.
· Demonstrated professional experience and knowledge as an IT Technician.
· Fluency in English required.
· Strong communication, both written and verbal
· Great active listening skills
· A patient and empathetic attitude
· Strong time management and organizational skills
· Adaptability and flexibility
· Troubleshooting skills, either basic or advanced, depending on the role and industry
· Computer literacy
· Phone skills, including familiarity with complex or multi-line phone systems
· Ability to speak multiple Ethiopian languages.
