Soufflet has started its operation in Ethiopia in 2017 is commissioning its malt factory in Addis Ababa while actively working on local malt barley sourcing.
To manage the agronomy and procurment functions at for Bale Zone Soufflet is looking to hire its Feild Executive.
CORE MISSION
His core mission is to facilitate, supervise and ensure the successful the implementation of the main activities of the Field executives. Mainly, he will have to coordinate the tasks of the FEs; provide technical support to them, organize, transmit, receive compile plans, reports on activities, manage the logistic among the FE and ensure the linkage of the field staff with the SME Addis office.
Major Responsibilities :
- Participating in defining the global commercial and agronomical strategy of the company
- Take part in defining commercial targets for the growth of his geographical portfolio, in assessing the performance of the Company barley procurement program (service to farmers, communication, return ratio, quality).
- Gathering, compiling and communicating all relevant information on the market, competition and farmers.
• Organizing plans and reports:
- Participate in the definition of a planning of defined activities (trainings, field days, demo field implementation, meetings etc.)
- Gathering, compiling and sharing of diverse reports linked to the activities implemented by the FEs.
• Coordinating the tasks of the FEs:
- Assisting the FE in the elaboration of their 2 weeks plan
- Compile and transmit the weekly plans and daily report of the FEs under his supervision
• Technical and commercial support of the FEs:
- Assist the FEs in the implementation of their activities by advising them and supporting on the field
(prospection, contracting, seeds/input sales, agronomic follow-up of the fields, trainings and field days, grain collection etc.)
- Assist the FE’s in difficult negotations with suppliers/clients to ensure his area target are met
• Resources management among FEs:
- Plans the usage of the resources and logistics put at disposal in his zone
- Reports on the resources and the logistics mobilized in his area.
Communication
- Ensure the transmission of the information coming from the managers to the field executive and vice-versa.
• Representation: always maintains the best image of the Company by his ethics, attitude and skillls and defent the interest of the Company with all external stakeholders (clients, suppliers, government agencies, etc.)
