CST Ethiopia represents the overseas development and humanitarian agencies of the Catholic Church from England and Wales (CAFOD), Scotland (SCIAF), and Ireland (Trócaire) in Ethiopia. The three agencies have over 40 years’ of experience in international development and humanitarian response and are each members of worldwide networks, including Caritas Internationalis. Currently, the three agencies jointly operate a single, integrated country programme in Ethiopia through the legal entity CST Ethiopia.As a partnership organisation committed to the localisation agenda, CST Ethiopia works with a multitude of diverse partners, both secular and faith-based, as well as local, national, international and non-traditional partners in their scope.
Currently, CST Ethiopia is implementing a Resilient Communities Programmethat comprises Humanitarian preparedness, response, and recovery, together with long-term development programmes. Humanitarain response to the current Tigray crisis are among the humanitarian response intervention that CST is facilitataing. For the Tigray response , the Adigrat Diocece Catholic Secretariat is the key local partner for CST and many Catholic and Caritas agencies. The senior Humanitarian advisor – partner accompanier role will provide support to ADCS humanitarian response programme in the delivery of effective, efficient, and timely humanitarian response interventions for needy communities with whom we work. In addition to supporting the delivery, oversite, monitoring and reporting of humanitarian interventions, the senior humanitarian advisor – partner accompaner will support the capacity development of ADCS.

Scope of Role
The senior humanitarian advisor – partner accompanier role will be a key position with CST to provide and ensure quality humanitarian response by our partner ADCS to the current Tigray crisis. As an accompanier, the position will be seconded to ADCS reporting to the Diocesian director (task manager) and line managed by CST head of programmes. As a senior humanitarian professional, the post will be an advisor to ADCS executive committee and member of ADCS emergency response team (ERT) and other management structure to provide strategic and operation guidance.
