Project Overview
Concluding the mid-term review of the Health Sector Development Plan (HSTP 2015 – 2020), the Federal Ministry of Health identified a significant leadership gap within the health sector. Despite the appreciable attention given, over the past decades, by the Ethiopian health sector to good governance, the issue of critical leadership gap still persists. In order to mitigate the above problem and address the gap, IPHC-E has taken an interest in supporting and catalyzing leadership capacity building. In collaboration with the FMOH and AIHA, IPHC-E has finalized the inception phase of the Leadership Incubation Program (LIP). LIP, through the establishment of a fully functional health leadership incubation center, intended to recruit, develop and nurture individuals who display exceptional commitment and passion for the health of the population and have health sector leadership potential.
