KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
· Provide leadership in the management of all emergency Supply Chain functions in for the Tigray Response
· develop/implement the global policies, donor’s requirements while also complying with any country-specific regulations both SCI’s and government’s
· Lead the coordination of tracking deliveries of emergency supplies in any direction, and apply mitigation steps to avoid delays, disruptions, damage and loss.
· Lead in producing a quality logistics plan including the identification of necessary resources,
· Manage and support logistics staff including ensuring appropriate team structures, clear division of responsibilities, clear objectives, and management of performance
· Ensure that supplies are managed well and that the necessary services in use meets appropriateness, cost effectiveness and Value for Money (VfM) standards
· Provide advice and support to the Emergency Supply Chain Manager or senior management on logistics issues
· Be responsible for submitting timely reports on all aspects of procurement and KPI management
· Management of all Gift In Kind (GiK) in coordination with Award Management & Programme

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential
· BA degree in an area of Management / Supply Chain Management
· 8 years Significant prior INGO experience in procurement, within a complex/large scale country programme and in emergency response/humanitarian environments
· Substantial experience in all technical areas of logistics in emergencies
· Experience of developing / implementing a complex logistics strategy to support different types of programmes, and coordinating resources to meet the programme objectives
· Experience of working in remote field bases with limited infrastructure
· Ability to synthesize and analyze complex information, and make clear, informed decisions
· Ability to build positive & productive relationships quickly with a wide range of stakeholders, both internally and externally
· Excellent planning, management and coordination skills, with the ability to organise a substantial workload comprised of complex, diverse tasks and responsibilities
· Strong communication (written and spoken), and interpersonal skills in English with experience in managing multicultural teams
Desirable
· Technical experience/training in specific areas of logistics
· Technical experience/knowledge in specific types of humanitarian intervention eg Health, WASH, Food Security
