Required Education: Doctoral level degree (Doctor of Public Health (DrPH), Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), or host country equivalent degree in medicine, public health, nursing, epidemiology is required. Required Experience: Minimum of five years of mid-to-senior level public health experience in developing, implementing and evaluating immunization programs or other relevant public health programs that involve coordination with an international agency or immunization partners is required. One additional year of experience at the managerial level with multiple staff is required. Language Requirement: Level IV (Fluent) speaking/reading/writing of English is required. (This may be tested) Level IV (Fluent) speaking/reading/writing of Amharic is required. Skills and abilities: Must be conversant with survey design and questionnaire development and with data management programs, such as Epi Info, SPSS, SAS, R, etc. Strong skills in interpretation of program monitoring and evaluation data are required. Strong skills with interpretation of analytic and programmatic data are required. Strong skills in the interpretation of program monitoring and evaluation data are required, including the ability to understand and synthesize numerical data. Strong report writing, and verbal dissemination skills are required. The position requires strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, including the ability to communicate and coordinate with the CDC in Atlanta, Ethiopian government officials and other immunization partners such as the U.S. Government agencies, International Organizations (WHO, UNICEF), and international NGOs.
