I. JOB SUMMARY
The Facilitator for Empowerment provides technical and organisational support to men and boys engagement as well as a mixed session (men and boys with girls, and also the parents session ) component of the design and roll out of evidence based empowerment methodology for out of school adolescent girls with the engagement of men and boys project in six regional states of Ethiopia (Gambela, Somali, SNNP), Amhara, Oromia, and Afar.) In consultation with the BOWCY, He/She will organize men and boys’ groups for 3,840 men and boys to be enrolled for implementation (A total of 96 men and boys groups will be established in 24 selected kebeles of 6 selected woreda's) This includes identify potential men and boys, complete registration, identifying mentors and form 96 groups in the target kebeles. In addition, He/she will lead the implementation of men and boys engagement through capacity building and awareness creation; promoting positive muscularity, sharing best practices; and education, information and communication. In addition, he/she supports people’s empowerment through collective action, solidarity, social inclusion, and gender equity. He/she facilitates and encourages active participation of individuals and communities in recognizing problems, identifying solutions, and implementing project activities to address the identified solutions. The Facilitator for Empowerment establishes and maintains a close working relationship with communities and community organizations in his/her working area, and works closely with kebele- and village-level task force leaders and local government development agents to ensure that project messages are disseminated and understood at all levels. The Facilitator for Empowerment prepares and submits monthly and quarterly reports to Project manager to report on progress with all field-level project activities.

II. CONTACTS/KEY RELATIONSHIPS
The Facilitator for Empowerment is expected to establish an open relationship with the community, government counterparts and community-based organizations, as well as with supervisors, project managers, and other staff.
III. WORKING CONDITIONS:
The Facilitator for Empowerment lives in the community. He travels long distances on foot (50%) and stands for about 30% of the training sessions.CARE Ethiopia is committed to preventing all unwanted behavior at work.
