Job Purpose;
As part of country Emergency Response Team (ERT), the Emergency Response nutritionist will support the technical start-up of emergency response projects (focusing on nutrition, WASH, and NFI distributions) at woreda level. S/he will be responsible for ensuring a strong technical start up and for monitoring the continued implementation of emergency projects. S/he will ensure all emergency response projects adhere to national and international standards and guidelines; all project activities are conducted as outlined in the detailed implementation plans; and reports are timely and meet Concern and donor specifications and standards. The position will require 60% of time field support visits to set up, train and support project staff during emergency response interventions in in all Concern program areas across the country. S/he will also lead on carrying out surveys as well as zonal and national level capacity building.
