Scope of the Role
The Brand Manager in Komari will be responsible for building and growing the Arada brand. The role is responsible for engaging directly with the brand community. The brand manager’s purpose is to grow the Arada brand and develop unique and engaging campaigns accordingly.
The role reports directly to the Chief Brand Officer [CBO] and works closely with the creative team, trade marketing, sales and the marketing intelligence team.
Purpose of Role
The main purpose of the role is to create a consistent, high-quality brand image for the Arada brand while we grow the brand in current and new markets.
The role further drives consumer brand awareness and perceptions and determines the directions and strategy for the brand.
The role directly manages digital, events, sponsorships, CSR and PR initiatives.
The role works closely with product development and creativity as well as other facets of the company to use product and packaging innovation as key brand drivers.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities for the position;
Develop Arada's brand strategy in close cooperation with the commercial team; together with the marketing strategy team, lead the development of quarterly (or otherwise periodic) marketing campaigns and assure 360-implementation.
Work with intelligence team to develop a better understanding of Arada consumers develop and grow the brand/marketing team where necessary.
Develop annual, quarterly consumer marketing budgets and spend and monitor accordingly.
Develop annual, quarterly consumer marketing plans and campaigns and execute accordingly.
Assure alignment of creative and trade marketing as well as sales and distribution with new campaigns.
Grow the Arada online community to the largest for any beverage brand in Ethiopia
Work with the creative team to develop marketing content in-house.
Develop unique channel-specific plans and content tactics
Develop effective ways of communicating with consumer databases other than digital
Develop and maintain a Komari consumer database; Over time, make sure it is systemized.
Make sure the database should be used for a variety of marketing and consumer intelligence purposes.
Work with the creative team to assure continuous activity on digital channels with original content and focus on the strong growth of digital platforms.
Assure rapid consumer response and content management systems and organizational setups.
Identify ongoing events for sponsorship engagement with Arada
Develop unique Arada event series with external event organizer Identify new/unique opportunities for Arada in the events scene
Develop and source event materials, equipment and branding
Develop PR and CSR strategy in line with Arada brand and also manage public relations and brand exposure through news media to develop Komari corporate brand.
