1. Background
Introduction
CARE Ethiopia’s mission is to work with poor women and men, boys and girls, communities, and institutions, to have a significant impact on the underlying causes of poverty. With a goal of contributing to economic and social transformation, unleashing the power of the most vulnerable women and girls, honoring their dignity.
Sexual Reproductive Health and right unit (SRHR) unit one of the functional unit works on a broad range of areas within the health sector and sexual and reproductive health and rights is a central element. Sexual and reproductive health is a critical indicator to achieve health equity and it is both a fundamental right and critical development issue. The unit is dedicated to address underlying and systemic factors, including gender inequality, policy barriers, and power imbalances that have an impact on health. Currently the SRHR unit has more than nine projects implemented in different region of Ethiopia.
Purpose of the training
The purpose of the training is to is to provide participatory and quality people management and Gender transformative leadership training to SRHR staff for two days (14-15-April-2022). The training aim to enhance the staffs’ skills on people management and leadership which will contribute for the successful implementation of the projects running under the unit.
Scope of the training
- Familiarize with approaches of management and leadership
- The key principle and skill of people management and leadership
- Familiarize with approach to motivate and caching team
- Aware on building trust and social capital, Mobilizing communities and public participation
- Introduce key areas of Strategic Management
- Conflict Management and Negotiation
Note: the content will be open for the consultant to propose, the above areas are only to provide guidance.
Expected deliverable and Outcome of the training
Location and duration of the training
The training will be facilitated at Bushoftu city (the venue will be communicated later) and will be facilitated from 14-15-April-2022.

A combination of experts with Degree and/or master’s in human management, Gender transformative leadership, strategic leadership, and public management and related filed with 5 years of full time relevant professional experience working in the provision of trainings, assessment and consulting.
Please note that no substitution of personnel will be allowed without the prior approval of CARE.
3. Selection/evaluation criteria
The selection committee will review all applications after the submission deadline. All applicants must meet the minimum requirements described above. The following are the evaluation/selection criteria for the technical and financial proposals:
