We are pleased to announce the following vacancy for Category Sourcing Manager – Technology within the Finance Function in Ethiopia. In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below.

Detailed Description

Reporting to the EHOD – Technology Sourcing, the role holder will drive procurement value in the IT and/or Networks categories by effectively managing the purchasing cycle including building category strategies, end-to-end tendering process, negotiating and managing supplier contracts, and ensuring that in all circumstances the Company secures the best service/product for the best economical price within the outsourced technology services, while ensuring compliance to procurement policies and procedures.

Job Responsibilities 

• Drive category management within supply chain with emphasis on category sourcing
• Develop category sourcing strategies that deliver optimal procurement value for assigned categories
• Carry out sourcing activities and deliver optimal pricing and terms, to meet business needs in a timely manner
• Carry out sourcing activities as needed to select suppliers in a timely manner to meet business needs.
• Maintain knowledge database of supplier’s markets, sub-categories, capabilities, technology, cost analysis and key performance indicators for goods and services
• Negotiate and facilitate implementation of short and  long-term agreements with suppliers
• Monitor the performance of suppliers to ensure they deliver quality goods & services as per contract/purchase order.
• Develop and implement supplier catalogues/pricelists within the ERP system to facilitate user self-service
• Develop and implement cost optimization measures in liaison with budget holders and suppliers
• Enforce governance and controls and ensure all sourcing and contract management activities adhere to established policies and procedures in procurement processes
• Train, coach and advise users on the procurement process and be their trusted advisor
• Lead, develop and motivate staff to ensure that set objectives are met and exceeded in line with senior management and customer expectations on goals achievement and service delivery

Job Requirement

 Qulaification

• Degree in Technology, Engineering or ICT (information and communications technology)
• A Graduate Diploma Qualification in Supply chain management will be an added advantage
• At least 5-7 years’ technology/engineering or procurement experience.
