Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia (HFE) is a world leading organization committed to the treatment and reintegration of patients suffering from Obstetric Fistula and the training and deployment of qualified midwives to prevent Obstetric Fistula and other childbirth injuries.

HFE, which was established in 1974 G.C by Drs. Catherine and Reginald Hamlin, has been caring for the women of Ethiopia for more than 60 years. Including our main Fistula Hospital in Addis Ababa, we have five regional Hospitals, Rehabilitation and Reintegration center and The Hamlin College of Midwives. We deploy midwives into rural health centers across the country and provide mentoring and other support services to these facilities. Currently HFE is looking Applicants for the position of Store Clerk

Job Summary/Basic Function

To record transactions and assist the financial team in filling and documentation of source Documents. To manage and control the store and the store yards as per the rules and regulations of the Organization and to supervise the material flow and disposal of non-functional items of the Organization.

Duties and Responsibilities

To record all needed transactions on the organization’s financial system as needed.
To properly file financial documents sequentially by verifying source documents for proper authorization.
To assist in the checking of monthly financial documents sent from Finance and Procurement Department of the organization.
To place appropriate stamps on all invoices and supporting documents if needed.
To assist other staff on tasks as needed.
To ensure correct use of assets in store room and avoid their misuse and accumulation.
To check the store room stock level prior to purchasing requested materials by user departments.
To follow through with purchase orders and to check whether or not the requested items have been bought.
To check whether or not purchase orders are properly filled and approved.
To register all donated and purchased items manually in the logbook as well as electronically and file all records appropriately.
To register all items taken out by each department and individual and properly record borrower’s details.
To check and balance items that are in the store and out for use.
To assist the Purchaser in buying fast moving items when they are not available in the store.
To register all the organization’s fixed and variable assets found in each office.
To give clearance whenever an employee resigns from the Organization.
To follow with required Departments, units or offices to properly store all products and to ensure their material requirements are met.
To receive and distribute all materials and supplies for outreach locations.
To submit reports detailing store room activities to concerned body.
To perform other related duties as requested.
