ACTED is a French humanitarian NGO, founded in 1993, which supports vulnerable populations, affected by humanitarian crises worldwide. ACTED provides continued support to vulnerable communities by ensuring the sustainability of post-crisis interventions and engaging long-term challenges facing our target populations, in order to break the poverty cycle, foster development and reduce vulnerability to disasters. Their interventions seek to cover the multiple aspects of humanitarian and development crises through a multidisciplinary approach which is both global and local, and adapted to each context.
ACTED is looking for professionally confident, self-motivated, experienced and committed team player to fill the Senior Project Development Officer position in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Position Profile
The Senior Project Development Officer (PDO) contributes to the development of project proposals in line with ACTED’s global and in-country programme strategy, and ensures proper grant management, incl. timely reporting of project achievements to donors. The Senior PDQ facilitates internal communication and coordination with relevant departments, and contributes to ACTED external communication strategy.

Essential qualifications and experience:
· Master Level education in International Relations, Development Studies, Humanitarian Aid or a relevant field.
· Masters Level education or post graduate Diploma in Sociology is desirable
· 5+ years of solid experience in the Humanitarian Field, Donor Relations, Project Development, management and monitoring systems, preferably in INGOs are required.
· Fluency in written and spoken English
· Strong Writing abilities and analytical skills
· Demonstrated communication and organizational skills;
· Proven ability to work creatively and independently both in the field and in the office;
· Knowledge of local languages and/or regional experience will be an added advantage
