Major Duties and Responsibilities
· Develop departmental strategic plan and objectives and lead their implementation
· Prepare departmental work plans and monitor their execution
· Provide strategic financial planning advice to upper management for long-term growth
· Direct and monitor all financial activities and/or revenue (which includes payable, receivable and sales) of the company
· Monitor the timely reconciliation of accounts and settlement of outstanding items
· Develop policies and procedures for the department and lead in their implementation and continuous review
· Establish internal work processes for financial department (including accounting and billing) and monitor their progress
· Manage company cash flow
· Maintain cost center and budgeting system
· Outline and implement company-wide budget plans
· Prepare budgets for the department and track their implementation
· Oversee all accounting work and set up internal and external audits to ensure the accuracy of information
· Approve and monitor the payment of all taxes and pension obligations to the appropriate offices on time
· Review, approve and submit departmental reports to relevant organs
· Use data analysis to strategically forecast financial trends
· Prepare company financial statements monthly and annually, as needed
· Work with and advise shareholders on solid financial decision making to increase profits and minimize losses
· Represent the company in external relationships with the department
· Analyze and interpret financial data and present the information with reports and presentations to the board of directors and executive director
· Stay abreast of current market trends and patterns and act accordingly
· Asses company spending and work to reduce costs
· Have a clear understanding of and adhere to current laws and regulations
· Manage the finance department, training any new employees as necessary
· Identify human resource requirements of the department and recommended to Human Resource Department for recruitment
· Evaluate the periodic performance of his/her subordinates
· Manage disciplinary concerns of the department staff
· Coach and mentor employees within the department towards effective career development
Qualification and Experience:-
MA Degree in Accounting and Finance, Financial Management, Business Administration or related with 10-12 years of experience out of which 5 (Five) years should be supervisory position.
