JOB TITLE: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
REPORTS TO: Team leader
REPORTING TO POSTHOLDER: None
LOCATION: Mettu field office with frequent travel to project Intervention Woredas in Ilu Aba Bor zone
DURATION & HOURS: One year with a possibility of extension and with a probationary period of 60 working days
MONTHLY BASE SALARY: GBP 566 (Five Hundred Sixty-Six Pound Sterling)
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE |
The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will contribute to the development of an effective results-based M&E system, ensuring that knowledge generation, management, and use for effectively built into the whole project cycle. The position holder will play a major role in project monitoring, periodic data collection and analysis, devise mechanisms, and lead the process for effective dissemination, utilization, and documentation of learning. S/he actively takes part in the design as well as the execution of baseline, midterm evaluation, and final evaluation of the project. In addition, s/he works very closely with the team leader, project coordinator, Core Team, Farm Africa’s Programme quality team, and partners to support the monitoring and evaluation of the project.

Minimum five years of related work experience for BSc/BA holders and three years for MSc/MA holders |

Skills and hands-on experience in conducting or commissioning qualitative and quantitative research methods, designs, and impact evaluations | Experience in writing case studies, case stories |
Working in multi-partner environments to insure sufficient rigor in M&E. | Experience working in rural settings |
