Aybar Engineering PLC is an innovative company, headquarters in Addis Ababa, established to develop new and improved agricultural machinery for use mostly by smallholder farmers. The company has invented a number of agricultural machineries, some of which have already been evaluated and distributed to farmers while others are planned to be introduced to farmers. Our company is seeking qualified Marketing Manager forthe Research and Innovations Systems for Africa (RISA) funded project titled “Linking an innovative company with a public research institute and farmers’. The project will be undertaken in Oromia and Amhara regional administrations. The project includes research on the company’s innovations as well as demonstration to farmers by selected and trained unemployed rural youth.
Job description
The Marketing Manager is responsible for designing and implementing marketing strategy of the company. The marketing manager will mainly work with agricultural input distributors in 8 woredas in Amhara and Oromia regions and unemployed rural youth trained to be sales agents of the company in 6 kebeles per woreda.
Marketing Manager duties and responsibilities
Assessing the company’s proposed marketing strategy, suggesting refinements and implementing the same.
Organizing promotional materials for the company’s innovations
Coordinating demonstration as well as field days in the project sites.
Dealing with input distributors so that they become successful distributors of the company’s innovations
Support the selected and trained unemployed rural youth in undertaking demonstrations and selling/renting the innovations.
Brainstorming fresh marketing ideas with senior management
