District credit Recovery Officer for Dire Dawa District

Job Summary
· The job holder will conduct analysis of customers with Non-Performing Loans and recommend mechanisms of rehabilitating the loan, which may include extending the grace period, waiver of arrears, due date extension, restructuring mode off repayment and/or amount, injection of more funds, follows-up the status of NPL loans and prepares periodic reports. S/he is also responsible for implementing credit recovery strategies to ensure minimal credit losses and maximum recoveries, within the assigned district.
Job Requirement
Academic & Professional Qualification
Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting and Finance, Management or other related fields.
Experience
At least five (5) years’ relevant banking experience.

Required Technical Competency
Good knowledge of loan workout and recovery processes and strong knowledge of lending principles in the commercial business market.
Solid understanding of lending procedures and credit reporting agencies.
Proficient in reading / interpreting financial statements for the purpose of underwriting credit.
Knowledge of policies, rules, regulations and directives related to the financial sector.
Sound knowledge of macroeconomic and microeconomic environment.
