Realizing Aspiration of youth in Ethiopia through Employment (RAYEE) is a five-year (Nov 2019 to October 2024 Inclusive) youth employment creation project implemented by SNV-Ethiopia in collaboration with Mastercard Foundation. RAYEE overall objective is to secure dignified and fulfilling employment and income for 240,000 youth (of which 70% are women) in the selected woredas of five regions and one administration, namely, Oromia, Amhara, SNNPR, Sidama, Tigray and Dire Dawa administration of Ethiopia.
Consultancy Objective
The main objective of this TOR is to hire a highly competitive, experienced, and capable service provider, to undertake a market assessment for supply and demand mapping for agricultural inputs market in RAYEE selected woredas. This will help to identify the locations and type of inputs to be supplied for youth led MSEs through establishment and strengthening of 30 input suppliers to fill the current gap in selected woredas of Amhara, Oromia, Sidama and SNNPR regions and Dire Dawa Administration.
The tasks will be undertaken by a consulting firm with Clear knowledge and understanding of the constraints and challenges of MSEs in terms of accessing agricultural inputs specially youth led MSEs. Additional · Integrity, timeliness, openness to learn, willingness to have long term engagement with SNV Ethiopia.
The team must consist of the following fields of qualification and expertise:
MSC degree in Agricultural Marketing, Agricultural Economics, and developmental Economics and at least 10 years’ experience, knowledge and skill in value chains and business development; Specifically in input supply system
The team members should have experience in conducting Market assessment, value chain analysis, and Business planning
