Ethio-Asian Industries SC, formerly known as East Africa Kality Soap and Detergent factory, is located at Eastern part of Addis Ababa, Kaliti. It is the first private sector soap and detergent factory established by well-known industrialist and EAHSC chairman Mr. Bizuayehu Tadele to manufacture Laundry soaps, Detergents and Toilet soaps.
Ethio-Asia made partnership agreement with Zoscales Partners (ZP) to meet its objective of becoming strong player within the personal care space by aspiring the right niche market of the lower and middle-income class of Ethiopia. Given the continued growth and future expansion of EAISC, the following opportunity exist.
Job Purpose:
Conduct laboratory tests on in-process production samples, and final products before distribution. Analyze data to ensure product specifications are met.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Ensures that standard operating procedures are strictly adhered to ensure product quality is within specification.
Ensure that procedures are carried out carefully and accurately to eliminate errors.
Ensure product quality by strictly supervising and conducting process control tests
Executing finished product test methods.
Ensure finished products are within specification and are without non-conformity before releasing the products to the finished goods warehouse.
Ensure good relations and communications with all members of the team and respond politely and in a timely fashion.
Responsible for undertaking operations necessary for quality testing within quality control
Ensure that safety standards and cleanliness of the laboratory are maintained
Undertake visual inspections of finished products
Participate in internal assessments and audits where necessary
Responsible for identifying and troubleshooting equipment problems
Write or document deviation reports, testing protocols, and trend analyses in technical reports
Report or conduct an investigation on questionable test results
Responsible for calibrating, validating, or maintaining laboratory equipment and devices before usage
Preparation of reagents that will be used for quality inspection using test methods developed.
Responsible for the compilation of laboratory test data to perform appropriate analysis
Provide appropriate paperwork for various stages of processing monitored in compliance with specifications.
Foster an environment that supports an engaged safety and quality culture.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Job Requirement
Qualification
BSc in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering
Experience
2 years relevant experience. Experience in the soap industry is advantageous.
