Child Safeguarding: As part of these responsibilities the post holder will support the establishment of child safeguarding systems, promote a culture of keeping children safe, and ensure that potential harm to children (by our own staff and/or as a result of how we do our work) is identified and addressed on an ongoing basis. The post holder should report and respond to interventions as determined by position related responsibilities identified in the Child Safeguarding Policy.

ROLE PURPOSE: ROLE The Program Coordinator, under direct supervision of Field Operation Manager, is responsible for the overall delivery and management of Education and Child protection refugee response program activities in Terkidi/ refugee camp and host community, in Gambella field office. He/she is specifically responsible the overall project budget and human resource planning; ensure quality, efficient and timely implementation of the child protection and education project activities; ensure efficient use of financial and other project resources; manage and lead child protection and education project officers effectively. The position holder will establish and strengthen coordination; work with local government stakeholders and partners in the targeted district/camp. He/she is expected to form a good working relationship with the zonal and worada gov’t offices, UNHCR, ARRA and other NGO/IPs. He/she will liaise with field offices; supply chain and finance coordinator for effectively coordination of logistics assigned to the project. The program coordinator will ensure submission of quality reports and other deliverables from his/her team to programs and FOM. |

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Academic Qualification
MA/BSA in Social studies, education, management or related field
Work Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in management and leadership of humanitarian projects in the child protection, education, and health sectors
At least 2-3 years of experience in the development of project planning and M & E systems
Comprehensive understanding of refugee response in Ethiopia; Successful work at variouof s levels of refugee programs and camp management
Experience working in projects funded by USAID/BPRM, UNHCR, UNICEF and ECHO
