Trainee Operations Coordinator

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions Tasks:

• Assist the Operations Manager of the relevant business line with all day to day tasks.
• Up to date record-keeping from job opening to closure.
• Ensure logs and databases are updated on a daily basis
• Daily planning and scheduling of assigned pickup & deliveries, document collections, payment records and other tasks as required.
• Minute-taking during operational meetings, briefings and calls with back office. 
• Ensure all job files are up to date and complete with all relevant documentation at time of job closing for future internal and customs auditing.
• Promptly answer the questions of staff and other stakeholders
• Be adaptable, flexible and ready for change in terms of technology and working styles
• Accept and execute any immediate instruction that comes from your supervisors
• Immediately escalate issues that affect the daily activities to your direct supervisor and Country Manager.

Reports To: Relevant Line (Moving or Logistics) Manager - Ethiopia

Position Purpose: Responsible for supporting the Operations team of the respective Business Line (Moving or Logistics) 

 Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree in Logistics, Transport, Supply Chain or relates field from a reputable University.
• Past experience as an Operations Assistant or similar role is a plus but not essential
• Ideally no more than 1-2 year’s work experience.
• Eagerness to absorb information, learn and enhance the team
• Ability to gain respect and build good relationships with customers, partners and colleagues
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a culturally diverse environment
