CHILD SAFEGUARDING: Level 3: the post holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work field office programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff |
ROLE PURPOSE: The Driver is accountable for ensuring safe and efficient driving in Semera and in project areas. Provides transport service to SCI staff members, visitors or daily errands as assigned by supervisor. Prepare and submit monthly vehicle usage report to his immediate boss. Keep up to date data on the fuel consumption. Use log sheet for the day-to-day movement and should be familiar with safety and security guidelines of Save the Children International. |

Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
· Completion of 12th grade or 10th grade with current educational system
· Own at least third grade valid driving license.
· Trained in Safety and Security
· At least 3 years of work experience in International NGOs with clean driving record.
· Willingness to work over weekends, holidays and harsh climatic situations.
· Knowledge of basic computer skills is an asset.
· Experience in vehicle maintenance
· Experience and Automotive knowledge is Advantageous
· Excellent inter-personal skills and ability to work effectively in difficult environments
· Good English written and oral communication skills
· Commitment to SCI’s aims, values and principles
