VisionFund Micro Finance Institution (S.C) is an Institution established according to proclamation No. 40/96 to provide financial services to the productive poor in the rural and urban areas of Ethiopia. VisionFund MFI is currently operating in four of the Regional States of the country. VisionFund MFI is looking for competent candidates for the position of Senior Digital Banking Services Officer. The successful candidates will have skills and experience that meet the following requirements:
Job Summary
Responsible for implementing all the MFI’s Digital Banking Services. The individual will be responsible to manage all aspects of electronic banking services (online, mobile, remote deposit, wire transfers, debit and credit card programs under the supervision of his/her Manager. Must understand client needs for electronic banking and recommend changes to best meet requirements.
Specific Responsibilities
· Working with other colleagues for the implementation of projects related to DFS (Digital Financial Services) under the supervision and guidance of the Digital Banking Services Manager.
· Explore the Digital Banking Channels in the country and propose the one appropriate to the context of the MFI
· Monitor transactions executed through Digital channels and produce periodic reports
· Maintain a good working relationship with our vendor partners to enable improved service levels and deliverables
· Guide staff on technical areas as needed
· Additional Responsibilities as requested by the Line Manager
· EDUCATION/TRAINING
B.Sc. Degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems or related field plus Training in Digital Financial Services.
· EXPERIENCE
5 years of experience in the field of information Technology & of which 2 years on Digital Banking platforms.
Technical Skills & Knowledge
· Excellent understanding of Digital Financial Services Platform
· Excellent understanding of Core Banking System
· High level of analytical and creative skills
· Excellent written and report writing skills in English;
· Understanding of digital channels operations and services
· Excellent complaint handling skills
· Able to communicate effectively with non-technical staff and with members of interdisciplinary teams.
· Flexible and adaptable in regards to learning and understanding new technologies
· Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
· Highly self-motivated and directed.
· Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
· Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
· Good understanding of the organizations goals and objectives
· Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
