Manages, organizes, and coordinates the daily operations of the accounting division including but not limited to accounts payables and receivables, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll accounts, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, and reconciliations.
Creates and enhances financial policies and procedures across the accounting division and ensures consistency.
Collaborates with various internal and external units in the execution of the financial functions.
Organizes the division in the documentation of all financial books and records.
Leads the division in the preparation of accounts and makes them ready for auditing and implements the audit findings with a view of improving the business's overall financial performance.
Monitors and analyzes accounting data and produces quarterly and annual financial reports and delivers to the appropriate authority.
Handles the company’s financial transactions and debts and prepares cash flow forecasts.
Establishes and maintains fiscal files and records to document transactions.
Maintains relationships with banks and other financial institutions to ensure that all financial needs are met.
Manages the accounting team to ensure that all accounting operations are carried out in accordance with company policies.
Performs other duties as assigned by the department manager.
Job Requirement
A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in a hospitality sector.
A good understanding of financial management obligations, especially statutory obligations and requirements.
Be an analytical thinker with strong investigative and problem-solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills English and Amharic.
Outstanding attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Peachtree, and other financial planning software.
