Job Summary:
Ø The training and development Specialist will create, develop, implement, and conduct training and development programs for employees
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ø Identify training and development needs through surveys, interviews focus groups and communication with managers and instructors/trainers
Ø Identify training needs by evaluating strengths and weaknesses of employee and recommend learning solutions.
Ø Develop unique training programs to fulfill workers specific needs to maintain or improve job skills
Ø Create and/or acquire training procedure manuals, guides, and course materials
Ø Present/ Communicate training and development programs using various forms and formats including group discussion, lecture, simulations and videos
Ø Maintain records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements.
Ø Develop or oversee the production of classroom handouts, instructional materials, aids and manuals.
Ø Collaborate with a trainer to assess, update, and revise training materials.
Ø Direct structured learning experiences and evaluate the program effectiveness through assessments, surveys and feedback.
Ø Acclimate new hires (employees) to the company and conduct orientation sessions.
Ø Facilitate virtual classroom sessions
Ø Evaluate learner progress through academic assessments, hands on practice, and on-the-job training.
Ø Maintain knowledge of the latest trends in training and development
Ø Prepare and implement training budget: maintains records and reports of expenses
Ø Perform other related duties as required.
Qualification:
Required Skills/Abilities:
Ø Knowledge of training strategies and principles, including adult learning theory, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects
Ø Ability to design and implement effective training and development
Ø Training room management skills including organization, time management, recognizing learner accomplishments, and correcting inappropriate behavior.
Ø Emotional intelligence: The ability to perceive the emotional state of individuals and groups; the ability to modify one’s own verbal and non-verbal mannerisms to engage and build trust.
Ø Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods: proficiency with virtual training room software such as Zoom, Microsoft applications such PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ø Communication skills: excellent verbal and written communication skill
Ø Strong presentation skill
Education and Experience:
Ø Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and management related fields.
Ø Preferable with training experience
