General Overview of Position:
The LionHeart is a collaborative group. We join forces every day to develop engaging ways to help our students experience joy in discovering new things, find satisfaction in solving problems and relish reward from sharing their views with classmates. Our curriculum, HighScope, is based in current research and best practices proven effective at making learning fun and inspiring. LionHeart teachers lead as positive role models for the LionHeart community of students, colleagues, parents and staff. Faculty members uphold the following duties, aptitudes and responsibilities:
A. Specific Duties
1. Become knowledgeable in HighScope Curriculum as a main Instructor of Preschool
2. Develop and teach French language to our Preschoolers
3. Organize and lead activities designed to promote physical, mental and social development, such as games, arts and crafts, music, storytelling, and field trips.
4. Observe and evaluate children's performance, behavior, social development, and physical health.
5. Identify children showing signs of emotional, developmental, or health-related problems, and discuss them with supervisors, parents or guardians, and child development specialists.
