ABOUT MSE RESILIENCE FACILITY
The Micro & Small Enterprise (MSE) Resilience Facility in Ethiopia, implemented by the Mastercard Foundation, aims to support the resilience and growth of MSEs, particularly those affected during the COVID-19 pandemic. It has successfully supported more than 26,000 businesses and 90,000 jobs. The facility addresses challenges faced by MSEs, provides targeted financial services and capacity building, and promotes long-term sustainability. It focuses on inclusive growth, targets priority sectors, and contributes to poverty reduction and inclusive economic development.
BACKGROUND
Ensira Pottery Cooperative is a cooperative enterprise based in Ethiopia, established in 2019. With a strong commitment to women's employment, Ensira employs over 400 individuals and specializes in the production of pottery products. They supply wholesalers, and retailers, and have a direct-to-consumer sales channel. Ensira prioritizes job rotation and skill development to enhance their workforce's expertise. Notably, the cooperative has implemented a women-led management structure, showcasing their dedication to gender empowerment.
Ensira Pottery Cooperative serves as an exemplary enterprise, illustrating the power of collaboration and resilience. The support received from the MSE Resilience Facility has played a vital role in driving positive change and enabling Ensira's growth and impact within the pottery industry.
OBJECTIVES
The primary objectives of the video production project are as follows:
A. To create a compelling video that portrays the journey of Ensira Pottery Cooperative, from overcoming the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic to thriving as a successful traditional pottery business.
B. To showcase the exceptional products of Ensira Pottery Cooperative and their harmonious blend of tradition and artistry.
C. To inspire and motivate viewers, promoting the values of resilience and collaboration.
D. To raise awareness about the importance of supporting and empowering micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) for long-term success and inclusive economic development.
E. To evidence how grant funding should be harmonized with capacity building and other program supports to aid enterprises in resilience building, which is a prerequisite for achieving growth and sustainability.
SCOPE OF WORK
The video production project will encompass the following aspects:
A. Pre-production: This phase will involve research, scriptwriting, storyboarding, and planning for the video shoot.
B. Production: This phase will include filming interviews, capturing footage of Ensira Pottery Cooperative's premises, and pottery-making process, and showcasing their products.
C. Post-production: This phase will involve video editing, adding graphics, animations, background music, and any necessary voiceover narration.
D. Finalization: The completed video will be reviewed, and necessary revisions will be made based on feedback from stakeholders before final delivery.
DELIVERABLES and TIMEFRAMES

Job Requirements
In order to successfully execute the Ensira Pottery Cooperative Video Production Project, the following qualifications and expertise are required:
A. Video Production Expertise: The video production team should have a proven track record in producing high-quality videos and storytelling. They should possess the necessary skills in filming, editing, and post-production techniques.
B. Scriptwriting and Storytelling: The team should have experience in scriptwriting and storytelling, with the ability to create a compelling narrative that effectively communicates the journey and success of Ensira Pottery Cooperative.
C. Videography and Photography Skills: Proficiency in capturing high-quality footage, including interviews, premises, pottery-making process, and product shots, is essential. The team should have access to professional-grade video and photography equipment.
D. Editing and Post-production: Expertise in video editing software and techniques is required to create a visually appealing and cohesive final video. The team should be skilled in adding graphics, animations, background music, and voiceover narration, if required.
WORKING ARRANGEMENT
1. Intellectual Property:
Upon completion of the project and full payment, all intellectual property rights for the revised Ensira video will be transferred to the First Consult.
2. Confidentiality:
The service provider and all involved parties shall treat any information obtained during the project as confidential and shall not disclose it to third parties without prior written consent from the First Consult.
3. Bid Cancellation
In the event of unforeseen circumstances or changes to project requirements, First Consult reserves the right to cancel the bid.
4. Project Completion and Submission:
The project is expected to commence on October 9th,2023 and be completed by October 31st, 2023.
How to Apply
APPLICATION PROCESS
a) The selection process will be based on the evaluation of proposals received. The evaluation criteria will include the service provider's qualifications, relevant experience, proposed approach, timeline, and cost. The First Consult team reserves the right to request additional information or conduct interviews if necessary.
b) Registered business license
c) Ensira Video plan, including design concepts, functionality enhancements, and proposed timelines to be included with the technical proposal.
d) Softcopies of technical and financial proposals, separately in PDF format, should be submitted on or before the deadline, October 4th, 2023 before 5:00 PM (GMT+3:00) to the following email address: bids2@firstconsultet.com. The subject of the email should be: “ToR for Ensira Video”
